I'm not sure how serious of an issue this is, but I haven't been told to go to the hospital over it or anything. But, I know the fluid build up is most likely due to wrestling (I could be wrong and it might just be an family issue), anyway... I've had fluid build up in my knees for the past week or so. As such, I haven't been wrestling obviously nor have I been working. I've been taking pills for it that make me go to the bathroom, quite frequently. They work, I was getting some relief on my knees this way, but the other day I couldn't even walk, I had to basically get piggy backed around. I can walk today and all, my knees hurt and all, but I can walk. I called the doctor and scheduled an appointment for tomorrow for them to draw the fluid out via needle. I was just wondering...
a) how bad is that gonna hurt (I'm not afraid of needles, just... my knees hurt right now, so, imagining a piece of steel going into the point of pain... yeah) b) will this take fluid away for a while or will it build back up soon and c) how soon will I be able to return to my job and of course wresting do you guys think?
I realize I should ask my doctor all this but... Figured someone here might have gone through the same experience with fluid in their knees.

Ouch.
Fortunately, I've never had to go through that before. So... I can't really give much input. I hope all goes well at the doctors for you.

I've seen it happen to teammates in football. At most, I'd say two weeks of lack of extreme physical activity, and a few days of really taking it easy, would be the most likely deal. It's not a severe operation.
