I stumbled upon this version of Blue Oyster Cult's classic "Don't Fear the Reaper" covered by HIM. I gave it a chance...and I wish I hadn't...I'm somewhat of a HIM fan but...DEAR GOD they ruined this song. Here's the original I stated my opinion on this...I kinda wanna hear what others think.

H.I.M is awesome!! I remember seeing them after Easter. The line was huge, but worth the wait. They were excellent live. Anyways l thought their version of Don't Fear The Reaper was good.

The main reason I think HIM ruined it is they slowed it down to far. The BOC version had a positive message. That love can transcend even the bonds of death and go to the after life. HIM's version on the other hand has no such message. They took it from the up lifting song it was meant to be and made it sad IMO. I'm not hating HIM at all I like a few of their songs, it's just this one that sticks in my craw a little being a big Blue Oyster Cult fan.
