Being someone from Detroit you should know that Detroit will always be "Hockey Town". I know the Pistons been in the conference finals the last 6 years, the Tigers seem to be doing better than what they were and maybe the Wolverines with the WVA coach can get back to prominence. Knowing I am a Red Wings fan as well. They are to hockey what the Yankees/BoSox are to MLB

It'll still be a great series and all... but Detroit has all the guys who've been here and aren't lost in the spectacle of it all. Pittsburgh hasn't. Next year though? The NHL best watch their asses, IMO it's their's next years.

Detroit has some great players and they have speed as well. I've watched Detroit games compared to some other teams and their speed is incredible. Zetterberg/Datsyuk and Osgood bring a lot to that team IMO. Can't count Pittsburgh out though. Malkin/Crosby have been playing a hard series and Flurry has played a good series. It'll be interesting to see the outcome of this series that's for sure.

Being someone from Detroit you should know that Detroit will always be "Hockey Town WHOA WHOA WHOA!!! Detroit Hockey Town?! You americans got nothin on us Canadian Fans, did ya see what happened after the Montreal Canadiens won their series against Boston (one of my favourites), they destroyed police cars, trashed the downtown area, and people DIED in that riot, yes died. and you say detroit is hockey town, for shame, CANADA IS HOCKEY LAND!!! and the only reason Canadian teams never win is because all the american teams take the Canadian players, that's why we always make it farther then you guys at the olympics.... I had to get that out there....and go Pittsburg!

Didn't have nothing to do with the game at all... A newspaper is a mans best friend .

Detroit hockey town? Maybe a while back but from what I've seen, the crowds haven't been too hot in Detroit recently. Hockey Night in Canada a few weeks ago, showed a crowd in Detroit with a sufficient amount of empty seats. Arena's aren't as packed anymore.
Montreal definitely has the most energetic crowd these days.
