Well... I don't know where to start. So, how about at the beginning?
I started roleplaying, in fantasy roleplays, when I was twelve years old, I'll be turning 22 within a couple of months and its kind of odd to say I've been roleplaying for basically a decade. It sure hasn't felt that long, you know? I've done all kinds of roleplaying. Final Fantasy, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter. You name it, I've probably done it, whether it was as a character from one of the series or an original character created in my own mind. I've been apart of a lot. I've made friends in this decade and I've made enemies as well. Roleplaying is great, I love it, I hope to do it for another decade if I can. There are people out there who say it is a waste of time. Well, I don't see how. You're on the computer, chatting, surfing the web, etc, etc. That's your free time there, if you choose to do something such as roleplaying in your free time, then its not a waste. Of course, those same people who say those things, don't understand that or don't want to understand that.
Now, lets hit e-fedding for a bit.
I got into e-fedding about four or five years ago; this is text e-feds, not CAW e-feds which I only got into in the last two years. After my first year in it, I quit due to drama and have only recently started back within the last year and a half or so. I was apart of an e-fed, again, text based. I was the new kid and the only real girl on the board at the time, so, I got noticed kind of quickly, whether it was for being a girl, or just being damn good at writing. Yeah, I guess I'm tooting my own horn there, but I know I'm a good writer, and I'm not going to deny it, because that would be lying about a talent I have. Simply not happening.
The place had some nice people and some rude people. Good writers and bad writers. Just like every roleplaying board, e-fed board, or anything else. This place has good and bad, the other places have good and bad. Its just simply natural. But what is also natural, is those "bad" writers, improve over time. Anyway, I hit that board, I was new to e-fedding, but I wasn't new to roleplaying or wrestling, so, I knew what I was doing. I took some losses at the start, like everyone would, but I picked up some wins too against, what was considered, their top writers. So, I was doing good and then I hit a major win streak about three or four months later. I don't remember exactly what the streak was, but it was in the thirties if I remember correctly. It started pissing people off, some threatened to leave because its not fun if no one could beat me. Although they never did quit, just pointing that out.
I believe they made the threat, to try and make me, take a fall, so the boards wouldn't suffer, but I didn't, when I roleplay a fight or a match or something, I give it everything I've got. Go big or go home as the saying goes. Now, as I said, I am a good writer and I admit that, but I was not on a high horse going into each match, I was quite nervous most of the time to be honest with you, because I knew these people were good writers as well. Well, I finally, hit a loss. Didn't bother me, was to a decent writer. I congratulated him on the win.
But within the next couple of weeks, I found out the match was rigged. Now, how can you rig a written match you might wonder? Well... Simple. The admin, wanted me to lose, wanted my streak to end, to give someone else a chance in the spotlight, so, he "rigged" it by awarding the person the win. I was told by other members of the staff that in the voting, I had the most votes, so, I technically, won the match, the admin just put a different decision down when he typed up the results.
That basically killed it for me.
I stayed around the board for another month or two, barely trying, I just got zapped of any fun I was having because the admin was tired of me being too good of a writer. So, one day, I just didn't log in, and I haven't logged in since that day. I don't even know if that board is still around, I don't have the link to it anymore, nor do I really remember the name of the e-fed. The place is dead to me basically.
Now... What does that have to do with this all? Well, to be honest, nothing. But just, hang on a bit longer, I'm getting to the point.
I got back into the e-fedding scene about a year and a half ago, to two years ago, like I said. First, it was back to text based, then Willow introduced me to this CAW league stuff, and it turned out to be pretty interesting. Before I got into CAW e-fedding, I entered a creation of mine into an Odin Tournament, that creation was Steven Paquin, and he was pathetic. Design wise, I love how he turned out, but as far as playing wise, he sucked and I believe was the reason our team lost in that tournament. So, I didn't have a good start at the creation/AI thing. But I learned on it after I finally hit the CAW e-fed scene and I've made, in my opinion, some pretty successful creations.
I believe XWA was the first CAW e-fed I joined, as the Wolfram Brothers. Then again it might have been FCW as Emily Cyrus, I can't remember right now because I joined them both and they weren't far spaced out from one another. It doesn't matter, the fact is, I got into the CAW e-fed scene. And I gained some popularity, seems everyone either loved Emily Cyrus, the brothers, or Aiyanna, who I did not make, but controlled. Out of all the creations I've made or controlled, those four would be my most recognizable I'm sure. There's been its share of drama and I've been involved in it, but there has been more fun than drama and that's kept me around for the most part, that and I love to write.
However...
I think this is the end of the line for me with e-fedding once again. And its because of my own terms. I'm sure quite a few of you already saw this coming and have prepared for it, if not, I apologize for the sudden surprise.
E-feds and roleplaying in general. I love it. By my desire for the wrestling style of roleplaying has slowly been dying. I've opened up wordpad documents trying to write up a promo for any of my characters Or a workout scene, or just an O2A scene. Hell, even a comedic scene, But nothing came, and I hate that. I know I'm not in a writer's block, because, I've attempted other things and stuff has just flown out of me.
I wish I knew what the problem was, but I don't. So, until my desire for e-fedding comes back, I am going to have to take a step down before I force myself into infinite burnout. Am I done with roleplaying as well? Well, no. Certain types, yes, but I will still be writing and roleplaying, I just need to find me a board that appeals to me.
I'll be back in the e-fed scene one day. I don't know if it'll be soon, or if it'll be a year from now, but I will be back. For those of you who wish to keep in contact with me outside of the boards(since I wont be logging in much) I am going to do something. I am going to make my MSN Addy public, any of you can add me, just let me know who you are after I accept it. I'll add it at the bottom of this message.
I thank you all who have worked with me and helped me build my characters and I thank you all for accepting me onto these boards and I am sorry that I have to do this, but its something I have to do. I'm sorry that I didn't get to work with everyone, maybe we can work together when I get back, if you're still around and doing this thing then. I've had a great time doing this and I'll still be watching, so admins? You'll still see my IP address show up as one of the viewing guests.
I do have one request, don't delete my accounts, sometimes I might wanna log in and post a little something in the off topic boards.
Once again thank you.
