Just the reaction he had hoped for, awaited to be unveiled as he spoke those words to her only moments ago...The fire in her eyes and the steady and stern response...Yes indeed, the alpha female was indeed still alive inside of that fabricated shell of hers...Yet why was she attempting to hold everything inside as opposed to expressing just what she thought on the matter?...Was it out of fear? Fear of her own safety as well as her still living loved ones?...Or perhaps even fear of finding out that...The horrible possibilities they both had conjured in their thoughts, could possibly be...Truth...?

He slowly returned to his feet, extending his arm slowly towards the coat and within seconds received it from her...Before he could even begin his response her arms were folded across her chest, the corner of her lips indicating that her anger had only began to rise in intensity...He clearly had struck a chord in the young woman's heart with that final comment of his it seemed...

Very well Elizabeth...My apologies if I have upset you...It was never my intention...

Freakin' liar...He slowly began to replace his coat over his person, Elizabeth wasting not another second in proceeding towards the front door of the house...Within moments he could hear the door being unlocked, and as he turned to her after placing his coat as well as his other winter wear back upon his person, he slowly began to make his way in her direction while speaking...

...But...That doesn't change the truth nor the severity of my words I'm afraid...I only ask that you do a bit of soul searching and be honest with yourself Elizabeth...That is all...

A[/color] slight head nod in his direction as she opened the door slowly, once again the cold air rushing in...Her eyes squinting just a tad bit as the rush forced her to refocus on him as he made his way to the door to prepare for his exit...He now stood on the opposite side of the threshold if you will, slowly turning back to face her again...She stood there, the cold air whipping around her body and into the house once again, waiting for his parting words...

He stepped out onto the front porch of her home, turning back to face her once again...The temperature outside seemed to be dropping at a steady rate and it was in fact a good idea to be on his way...At least for now...

A small cough escaped his lips, just as his arm arose slowly, replacing the light tinted glasses back upon his face. Immediately after he locked eyes with her once again...He could plainly see the emotions running through her at this point...It was still a sensitive subject for her to discuss, much less be forced to think heavily upon...He nodded his head in her direction, only a trace of a smile forming at the corners of his lips before offering his parting words...

Think carefully about what you're truly doing Elizabeth...The man...His memory...What he gave to us all...Deserves that much...Oh and...I'll tell Sarah you said hello hm?...Good day...

...Then without another moment of hesitation, he turned away from her, beginning his departure on this evening. Within seconds he could feel the steps beneath his feet once again, stepping diligently down them at a moderated pace...Before he knew it his feet had come in contact with the sidewalk once again, making his way down the sidewalk while peering across the street towards his commissioned driver now standing outside of the vehicle which had brought him to this destination...Cigarette in hand, he seemed to be a bit on the impatient side from the length of the conversation he had just endured...He quickly scanned the surrounding streets, back and forth...Making note of the additions to the scenery, as well as any removals...Hm...Peculiar he thought...Though there were both additions and removals as far as people outside in the immediate vicinity...There was one thing that did in fact catch his attention...

...The single solitary vehicle which had taken it's place near the end of the block where Miss Knight's temporary home was located...

...As well as the woman inside actually in the belief that...She had went unnoticed...Interesting...

S[/color]he stood there watching as he made his way down the steps of the porch, not closing the door back until he started on his way down the sidewalk...Then having felt enough of the cold air from outside she closed the door back...Stepping closer to it slowly and replacing all of the locks back on it in a matter of seconds...

H[/color]e couldn't have been right...Could he? Had she just given in to what was being told about the situation concerning him all along?...Or was there some underlining and unspoken piece of information she had that she was keeping to herself...Her eyes down cast towards the floor in front of her realizing that he was in fact right about that one thing...She DID know something...Actually she knew enough to probably help put Cross' mind at ease...As well as a few others, once and for all...She could lie to him all that she wanted but there was no way to escape the fact that she did know some things about what had happened this past year...

S[/color]uddenly a small bit of ruckus was heard from the upstairs part of her home, instantly causing for her to shift her attention towards the top of the stairs...A long breath was exhaled as she turned, peeking through the curtains again seeing Cross and another unknown man re-enter a car...She didn't recognize the man who was getting into the front of the car, nor did she think he was anyone Familia related from his appearance...Within a matter of seconds the car had started up, and slowly began to pull away from the curb on the opposite side of the street...The car slowly started it's departure, as she made eye contact with Cross one more time from his back seated position...

S[/color]eeing that she was once again "alone", she turned and while walking with a purpose, made her way to the bottom of the stairs and quickly begin her ascension up the stairs...To see just what all of the noise was about...

Just before her target entered the car, she managed to get a picture of the two standing together. Proof they had been together. Oh how her boss was gonna like this.

As the target drove off, She lifted the phone and began to dial the number she had been anxiously awaiting to call. Hittig he talk button immediately after dialing, she slowly lifeted the phone up to her ear, hoping it was answered. The ring continued until finally, someone answered. Without hesitation, she began.

"Sir, your never gonna believe what I just saw......."

Her car leaves the scene as she continued with todays finds...
