Brent then looks at Jack, and thinks that Maniac going after Genesis could involve the world title anyway
"But Genesis is the champ and if he defends it then Scott would be going after the title!"
Brent couldn't help but notice that Jack slurred his words pretty badly even for a drunk

Maniac lets out a chuckle.
I've faced him so many times for two reasons. The first is he never truly bores me unlike some people. The second, is deep down whether he wants to admit it or not, he can't seem to get the job done with me and it annoys the hell out of him. Especially, after all the talk everyone's heard about how he'd put me down.
Well alright there's a third. It's been a while since we faced off, and if I throw myself into the mix later on down the road. Well look at who he's involved in right now. Everyone chasing after him. The fun of messing with not only him, but everyone else is just too great.
Maniac pauses for a moment.
It'll be like the good ole days. Some big name is poised to get a title shot and out of nowhere, the person no one seems to notice swoops in and gets it instead. Then in typical style he chooses to be against every side in the battle and does everything he can to stack the odds against him but not doing it too much.
This business isn't a game of poker. You don't go all in you'll never reach the level you want. Afterall, isn't that why you're where you are Jackey boy? At the bottom of the barrel playing dead?

"Anyway going after Genesis couldn't be a bad thing, somebody has to do it, if I didn't pity him I would myself!"
Brent laughed and almost knocked his soda over

It's not that someone has to do it. It's that someone has to show people you don't have to start out a big name to get into the main event. Look at me. I'm recognized, but I'm not considered the top of the ladder here. It's always Avenger, Genesis, Starr, Lionheart, or some other usual jackass being the star of the show. And for some reason noone really tries to break into it either.

One day maybe I'll be in a main event, I'm not in a hurry since I am probably not ready just yet. I had hoped that one day I would face my brother in a match, but I doubt he would let me. When I was young before he ran away he would never fight me, always you are too small me and Nick will hurt you Brent! I understand back then but now I think Logan would still say it"
Brent then looked a little disappointed, as he thought about the time he had missed with his brother and now he didn't even know how Logan was
"You and Genesis should be good, or you going after the title. You know like... Outta nowhere Maniac strikes!" |

What can I say. I play the snake quite well. Never knowing who I'm with or against. I like ya, so I'll give you a small piece of advice. Don't ever trust me. I may seem like the good guy a lot, but I'll turn my back on someone if it benefits me. I'll go to extremes most people wouldn't get not only get my point across but beat them where it counts. In the mind. If people knew about my past they probably wouldn't think of me as a good guy.
Maniac stands up.
I'll catch you later though. I have to prepare to take the Global Warfare Title and give it some honor and respect. And remember, people are easy to corrupt. Even the most honest.
With that Maniac walks off. He was off to prepare for Danger Zone.

Loud laughter came out of no where from the mouth of Jack. It seems that something had triggered Jack's humor off.

Brent always liked to replace the subtle hint at the cuss word with the actual cuss word

" Mate, shut ya' trap, and don't say another word. The Global Warfare Champion ain't no piece of crap. He is indescribable, and Scott gonna' get one big surprise when he jumps into the ring with the champ. "
Off he went, staring into space again.
