On a serious note it depends on how the game is to play, to me a beat em up is a beat em up no matter what characters are in it

Because they are a bunch of fucking sell out.
I've been a fan of Mortal Kombat since 1991. I basically owned every MK games out there and I enjoyed and played them with friends over and over again. Even my fucking girlfriend enjoyed these games. So now, I was waiting for the big news. The only fighting series that I like besides Soul Calibur.
And what do the MK fans get? A kick in the nuts by Ed Boon. YAY! We get DC Characters and a TEEN Rating when MK as always been MATURE. What will happen now? No fucking blood or fatality anymore? Crappy characters in spandex? I'm kinda pissed, which is rare. And on the Storyline side, none of this is even canon.
It's fucked. IT'S ONLY FUCKED...

And this isn't the first time MK has been watered down. When it first landed on the SNES they were told to take out the blood and the kills so it would fit in with the rest of the games for their system

I hope that Cassandra Kain is in it .... Batgirl FTW ... And Revenger ... Oh yeah Revenger would be cool she is my favourite character since they dropped the batgirl series.

I do, choose not to buy it lol ditto Sorry, but I can't imagine a Teen Rated MK game to be any good. From what I saw of a video at GameTrailers. It looked like a watered down 3D MK game with DC characters thrown into the mix. Copying off the success of the Marvel vs Capcom series. The big difference between this game and the MvC series is those games were great just due to the fact that the SF game engine was very solid. Where the 3D MK fighting engine is okay. Some people like it, some prefer the old school MK games. To me, the 3D MK titles were good in all. But I liked the older 16-bit games much better. Add that fact with the now stripped down MK content we all know & love (less or no blood, fatalities, etc). Then you have the makings for a disaster waiting to happen. Why Midway...WHY !?  *Goes to play MK II. Ahhh, the good ol' days !* |

Well as far as I have seen in the game trailer there was a lot of blood that has flown ... and fatalities suck ... there are maybe 2 fatalites that I can pull of and I am just a casual gamer when it comes to MK ... even when I have every ps2 game from MK.
