Well it looked like someone was missing from the line up, and sure enough “Strawberry Gashes” played and Jennifer Drew made her little march down to the ring all smiles and metal horns as usual.
GCW, I've got to admit I'm in kind of a fix. There's no Debutante dream matches featuring Jennifer Drew scheduled this week, and even though I had a nice little drink or two, or however many it was at ringside for Veronica's debut here she's got her hands full it looks like. That means I flew to Providence with nothing to do but eat clam chowdah.
Alright maybe she missed the mark by a little but they still loved it.
I can't have that, I mean I came here all geared up mentally for this, all ready to take it out on... well I forget who. Can't you just feel the aggression radiating off me? So, I guess that means I'm taking on whoever walks out here right....
now.

...
''Tsk tsk tsk...''
And someone appeared on the stage, microphone in hand.
''Stop assuming things, kid. I'm heading to Providence and I plan to face Shelby Steele there. But hey, you mentioned my name. I don't know who you are and maybe you don't know me.''
She waved at Jennifer far away in the ring.
''I am Veronica Valentine, and I saw you at ringside when I gave Johnny that ultimatum. You were watching me. And now here you are, talking about how 'full' I am at Lock Up!. Maybe I am missing something. You simply want a match with me?''
''Or maybe it's a little... more complicated?''
Time to let Jennifer talk.

She nods along with Veronica. Jennifer really didn't expect to see her out here but hey, it worked for her.
You don't know me. Alright, that's fine. I'll play the fangirl here tonight Veev. Because I know all about you, I've been paying attention, I guess you can just call me a student of the game. I've seen what you can do before and if you give me a minute to look them up on the internet maybe I'll start quoting a bunch of obscure stats that no one in their right mind should know and that's why I had Kim Masters comp me a front row ticket for the house show.
And that's what brings me here tonight. To answer your question, as far as I can tell it is that simple. See, I saw that big MayheM “dream match” later on and all I could think of is that if it was just the two of us we could do better. I know you've got Shelby Steele, but it looks like you've got enough time for one more big match.
Now, I've never been in the ring with a “legend” before, but it sounds pretty awesome. It'll be like stepping into the ring with Paul Bunyan, or something. Do you know him? Or are you at odds with the “tall tale” folk?
Another question that would eat away at her sanity when she tried to go to sleep that night.
That is unless you want this to be more complicated than it is. I do hate it when things make sense.

She slightly sighed.
''Why must everything get complicated?...''
Vivi walked left and right on the stage. The crowd was quite loud. Her eyes just came back to Jennifer after a few seconds.
''Meh...''
''As far as I'm concerned, you got your match against me. Complicated things are useless, just like in this particular case. Let it be simple. You want a match. You got one.''
But that was not all.
''I am curious though. Why would WE make a better match?''

Why? I'm glad you asked!
She stops herself from going into a sales pitch, trying to keep up the tone.
Look at who we've got here and name me someone besides the champ who could deliver more than what we got last week. It's us, Veev.
Knew it from the moment you did your little shimmy shake down to the ring. Incidentally does that split thing hurt? No way in hell I'm going to try it, but still.
The point is, after you kicked his head off, oh woman after my own heart, I just knew we had to do this sometime and I figured there was no time like the present.
But that's not all, you see there's another little thing called staying on the radar. Whether you realize it or not, some super important people are going to be watching. In fact they're already watching. In fact they've probably been watching us all day, maybe even longer, at times when we don't even know we're being watched.
Jennifer turns and looks directly into a camera for a second. Remembering this was more of a rhetorical construction than real paranoia she continues.
Anyway, knowing that just brings so much out of me. I mean, I for one want to make sure that my name is still all over their lips, dig?

She gave Jennifer a nod.
''Dig. I guess.''
Her eyes went to the camera.
''I don't like being watched by unknown eyes. I don't like being watched by someone I can't see. Makes me feel uncomfortable and I hate it.''
...
''Who's watching us? CEO I presume?''
She was used to be watch by Aaron and Erin Blackthorn in Ohio. Who's behind the cam here in Chicago?

You better believe it. And every girl in that locker room. And the Debutante Champion Shelby Steele. Oh and how could I forget Providence, Rhode Island?
Way to take the easy one, Jen.
And probably the Freemasons too, although I can't prove anything. See what I mean, everyone's got to know what goes on here tonight and I for one plan to do a nice little dance for my invisible masters. Preferably on your skull.

Veronica just turned around, back to Jennifer far away in the ring.
''We'll see...''
She turned her head to look at her opponent.
''Or maybe it will be my feet on your skull, hm? Just like Johnny.''
...
''Watch it, because the She-Devil Climax may arrive faster than you think.''
''Good luck.''
And she was on her way out.
