During the Lock Up! show the familiar entrance music “You can’t stop me” from Guano Apes hits the PA system and just a couple of seconds later Nicole Storm walks out on the stage … She moves in the centre of the stage and bows down in front of the crowd, only to throw her hands high in the air a few seconds later while the pyro explode behind her. It might be her regular entrance since years … but non then less the fans like and enjoy it to see her doing that … an simple gesture that bring the people in the arena to their feets … not to speak of the loud cheers that can be heard in the arena as well … as Nicole walks down the ramp … she enters the ring and climbs all 4 turnbuckles to pose for the crowd before she jumps down and get ready to talk about business.
I have just entered and done my usual in ring pose, as one of the crew members handles a microphone over to me. A smirk appears on my face, from where he has known that I want to cut a promo …. Hihi … well must have been obvious. I step in the centre of the ring and raise the microphone to my mouth … after I took a few seconds to walk in a small circle to get a good look at the fans. They seam to be in a good mood and after the first couple of matches I can image why … the smirk change in a smile as I start to talk.
Hello everybody … Welcome to Lock Up!.
The fans start to cheer as I speak out the name of the show … it is really funny that you can get so easily attention when you speak out the name of the show or the city we are currently in.
Last week … I had the opportunity to compete with my tag team partner Joe Bruiser in a tag team match at MayheM. It has been a very interesting and challenging match … even when the end was not exactly in our favour. I mean we pretty much get screwed out of a clean and fair victory with this count out lose we have received. But this is not the reason why I have came out her tonight.
A breath in and out, taking a break while I remember the last few minutes of the match from last week. Joe was isolated and we get split up …I tried to get after the legal woman in the match to throw her out of the ring, so that the referee would be forced to stop the 10 count … but I was sadly not fast enough to do that, which cost us the victory. Shit I hate it when people have to cheat to win …
I have come out here once again to test my skills against another wrestler from Lock Up. Testing my skills and my body …my wrestling skills and the endurance of my body which is not in the best shape … but that doesn’t stop me from competing or sitting on the sidelines like other people who have nothing better to do as to waste the company, in this chase GCW money and time. Time they put in to support and promote the wrestlers who are just sitting on the sidelines … or no showing. And I guess all of you can agree that they are wasting your time and money as well … I am right or I am right?
Loud cheers can be heard from the fans once again as I start to talk about this complicating topic.
As a matter of fact, it is still a common fact that this people don’t care much about the business … nor about the people who have worked for years into it … putting their heart and soul in this type of sport. People like me … people like Jessie Blair … who has wrestled in GCW even thought she was suffering from a brain tumour. Can you image that … a lethal and deathly disease and still … she comes out here and put up a performance from which wrestlers who are in this sport only because of the money, … only can dream from.
I look straight in the camera … as this what I want to say next is something very personal …
And … Jessie. If you see this, in your home, in the hospital back home in Scotland, preparing and getting ready for the operation … I just want let you remind you that beside all the stunts you have pulled in your life, in your carrier … the people are missing you, your skills, your heart and your lose mouth as well. I am sure the people in the arena will only agree when I say this … We miss you Jessie and we wish you the best luck in the world, so that you get healthy again…
The fans cheers like crazy … this moment really shakes me up on an emotional level and I can feel how a single tear is running down my cheek. I quickly reach up with my hand and wish the tear away before I continue to talk.
As you can see Jessie the fans love … and what you have you back soon ….
I sniff a bit and then change the subject once again to come back to the reason why I have come out here.
So … now that this is out of the way and I have said what I wanted to say to Jessie … I can come back to the main reason why I have come out here. I have come out here to remind all of you … the fans in the arena, the people who are working here for GCW and most importantly for the wrestlers in the back. That this business is about passion, desire and hard work … not fast money, fame and ego bursting self display of their own greatness.
With that set let me remind all of you who I am …I am just a wrestler, a wrestler who the fans love … I am single raising mother of a lovely daughter … I am one of the greatest submission wrestlers today … I have won in every company I have worked for the major title … and I have beaten the champ …
Awwww … I can feel how this wicked smile appears on my face … but what surprise me more is the fact that it gets silent in the arena … Have I surprised the fans with this statement? … Looks like that, but the silence doesn’t last for long as the crowd starts to cheer again, louder as before.
That is right … I am the only person to date who has beaten Lessien since her arrival in GCW. I am the only person who survived her assault, turned it around … and gave her the mother of all beatdowns …you have every seen. But what was even sweeter as the victory was the fact … that I have brought her to the point that she was not even able to tap out anymore … I simple choked her out and then rolled her up for the pin … I not only beat the champ … I choked her out and Lessien …
The next time we both will meet in a match I plan to do the same once again. … And not only that … I will take this shinny belt from you as well. Top Debutante? … For now …
But … as a matter of fact … this is Lock Up! … a show of a wrestling company … and I am not one of this lazy guys in the back who no shows … so I am speaking out this open challenge to anybody in the back … if man or woman … if champ or not to face me tonight … Oh … this offer goes for you as well Lessien … if you here ..
The smile returns on my face as I step back a bit to wait for the challenger …
