Logan hits the speed dial on his cell phone and moves away from the table, the others notice him pacing as he waits for Lauren to answer it. After getting no answer he returns to the table.
"No answer, guess she is enjoying shopping!"
A few seconds later a women appears behind Logan
Lauren: "Hey saw you through the window so I didn't answer it. Who are these people?"
Logan gets a seat for Lauren and introduces her to Kimberly and Cameron
"This is Kimberly Masters the GM of GCW's LockUP and this is Cameron Kincaid. Miss Masters, Cameron this is my wife Lauren. We have been talking about a few things honey!"
Lauren looks at Kimberly and Cameron as Logan points them out
Lauren: "Hello Lauren Steel, hope he hasn't bored you with his match stories and exploits. You have a very nice town here and I got some nice stuff. I hope he hasn't given you a too biased view of me!"
Logan looks at Lauren somewhat embarassed
"Boring but you said you like them?"
Lauren smiles at both Kimberly and Cameron before turning to Logan
Lauren: "I do sweetie but after sometime they can be tiring to listen to!"

Nice to meet you Lauren, … and don’t worry he hasn’t talked as much as you might have thought about him.
A smile appears on Kim’s face as she said that, she extent her hand and offer it Lauren for an handshake.

Lauren reaches out and shakes Kimberly's hand.
Lauren: "Really, he normally would tell you all about his fueds with some of my father's lackies. But I am glad he didn't since this is a nice place and I don't want to be moving around alot and who knows maybe one day I will lace up my boots again instead of his."
Lauren giggles as Logan gives her an evil look
"Was a bit below the belt wasn't it honey? and how much did you spend on this stuff. Did you carry all of this by yourself?"
Logan says as he looks at the vast number of bags
Lauren: "Don't worry I didn't spend any of your money there is also a gift for you courtesy of Angel! But let's not argue in front of Kimberly and Cameron because you don't want to be embarassed do you Logan?"
Logan shakes his head quickly in response to Lauren's question
Lauren: "Good boy, I'm guessing Kimberly that I don't need to tell you how to tame a 265lb man now do I?"
Before Kimberly Masters has a chance to answer Logan says
"Cameron has suggested that we go out sometime. I think it is a good idea so we can make more friends honey and not just hang out with Angel all of the time! I mean Angel is nice and all but some down to earth friends would be good as well"
"Yes indeed it is honey, just to keep you in line!"
Logan looks at Lauren and slowly shakes his head, Lauren simply smiles at him which seemed to irratate him more...

"Wow...You two seem like you're both..."
Suddenly his cell phone rings, reaching down into his pocket he retrieves it and brings it to his ear.
"Cam here. It's your quarter what's u..."
He pauses hearing the voice on the other end. Responding a few seconds later...
"Yea, yea whatever man. Yea. I'll be there. I'm leaving now dude! Christ. Yea. Alright."
A long sigh leaves his mouth as he stands from his seat, taking up the cup of coffee he had purchased no more than 15 minutes earlier. Stepping forward he extended his hand towards Logan and his wife preparing for his departure...
"Well I gotta run people but...Don't forget to find me sometime so we can see if we can get you dru...Err...Out of the house a bit. Nice to meet you Miss Steel. Hopefully we'll all be seeing more of each other."
Following the brief showings of departure, he turned back to Kimberly, leaning in and giving her a kiss on the cheek before backpedaling away from the table while speaking his last words to her as well...
"And don't forget about who should be the number one pick in that draft Kimmy. Keep it in the "family". See you later."
And with that he turned, continuing his departure as he almost seemed to speed towards the door on his way to fill the request from the caller just a few moments ago. |

Both Logan and Lauren shake Cameron's hand and say
"Nice to meet you Cameron!"
Lauren: "Yes we will have to meet up again since it was a pleasure!"
Lauren looks at Logan and tugs his sleeve to gain his attention as she notices that Kimberly seems a little sad to see Cameron leave.
"Hey Kimberly are you ok? It is ok that I call you Kimberly as this formal stuff is driving me nuts!"
Lauren: "Kimberly I guess that you and Cameron have history, once were maybe more than friends?"
They both look at Kimberly and wait for her to speak...

Sure it is ok as long as you call me Miss Masters when you have some business to talk with me about. Other then that Kimberly is fine … but to your question Lauren. Me and Cam have been trained by the same wrestler, you can say we are part of the same family … properly not genetically but spiritual.
Kimberly looks down at her hot … or better said cold coffee latte. She let out a loud sigh and turns her head around and raise her hand. She waves with the hand, so that the waitress notice her. Kim orders a fresh coffee latte and then turns her attention back to Mr. and Mrs. Steele.

"Yeah one of my friends who I considered a brother trained under master Kensei whilst I was his pupil. Even family can have a nasty habit of turning it's back on you when you are down and out and sometimes..."
Logan looks at Lauren and remembers all of the trouble they went through because of her parents and they still get trouble from them his blood begins to boil as he pictures what her own father did to her.
"Families can be the worst of enemies and cause you the most pain, to me blood is a symbol of hate and brothers and sisters can turn out to hate each other. The saying is that blood is thicker than water but I say it flows just the same!"
Lauren looks at Logan and gives him a playful punch to the arm so that he would stop what was seemingly a rant.
Lauren: "now Logan, Kimberly doesn't want to here about all of that let's put it all behind us. Since that is the reason we are moving on and why we came to Chicago isn't it?"
Logan looks at Lauren and he knows that she is right, he turns to Kimberly and says
"Sorry about that, I have a tendancy to get somewhat carried away!"

Appears like that, but I hope you don’t get carried away with your thoughts when you are facing somebody in the middle of the ring. I mean, it won’t be good for your health if something like this happens and it would of course not be good for the roster if we would lose a member cause he get carried away with his thoughts.

"Oh no Miss Masters in the ring Logan Steel is all about business and i run on instinct as it is the only way to survive as I am sure you know all too well. Being in the ring for me is like the ultimate adrenaline rush, it is when I feel truly alive! I know you have probably heard all of this before so I will stop before I completely bore you with the same old garbage you have heard a million times over."
Logan smiles as he gets an idea and he waves the staff over to get more drinks, he gives the waiter a tip when the drinks arrive and then he begins to ask
"So Miss Masters tell me about some of your in ring moments?"
Logan takes a sip of his coffee and waits for a response...

Oh I don’t have many in ring moments as it appears that higher management has always been my destiny. I mean, I have of course wrestled from time to time but not as much as I would be able to say that I could remember some of them as my in ring moments. I think I have said that earlier that I was mostly working as manager during my early days for the Familia … the “family” Cam and I belong to. A very elite family of some of the greatest minds in this business.

"Maybe that is a good thing in the ring it can get nasty and lets face who wants to look like they went one on one and toe to toe for ten rounds with Mike Tyson. You Miss Masters are a very pretty lady but I am sure that you are a mastermind behind many of not only Cameron's but the Familia's achievements. Just like Lauren has been one of the most important factors in all of my title victories. But hey maybe I didn't fair too bad in the ring since I remember most of my matches is that a sign that I am good or not the jury is out on that one!"
by looking at Logan's face it is clear that he has faired well in the ring as there are few marks or scars on his face.
Lauren: "Yeah not sure if he was ever handsome?"
Lauren said before giggling as Logan looks alittle hurt by that remark..

Haha ... well I guess you must know the answer to that question Lauren ... haha.
Kimberly starts to giggle and holds a hand in front of her mouth while she does that.
But in the end it doesn’t matter how successful you have been in the past. The important thing is the present, not the future nor the past … the present. You have been a champion there … then over there … but it doesn’t matter. You have start to build your reputation from new … show the people, the fans why they should respect you in the company. It’s the same old game we have to start over and over again when we switch to another wrestling promotion.

"Yeah the game never changes only the players and hopefully I will make an impact here just as I did elsewhere. You are right lving in the past is no longer important but what is important is the future. A chance to start a fresh and become known for the good things I did and not for just the bad things I did. I know that this has been said before, but I am excited to be here and I can't wait for my first match. I have one loose end to tie up in Virginia and then I am a GCW exclusive and I can truly make Chicago my home!"
Lauren looks at Logan and she sees the fire in his eyes that he is ready for whatever is thrown his way and she feels that her place is by his side.
Lauren: "Honey I love it when you get passionate about something I want to thank Kimberly and the rest of the GCW staff for givng you this tremendous opportunity with so many benefits like health care and travel it makes it so much easier to enjoy our lives... Together!"
Logan notices his wife is about to cry and he puts his arm around her and he turns to Kimberly
"Miss Masters please forgive us for our babbling we are just so excited by all of this! To the future and success!"
Logan raises his cup up in a toast and waits for others to join...

Logan notices that Kimberly is almost out of coffee latte and he feels he should offer to buy her another.
"Oh my you are nearly out of coffee please allow me to get you another coffee. I feel that it is the very least I can do since you have listened to me all this time and been so polite in doing so? Come on anything you want is on me?"
Logan looks and waits for a response...
