Alright, I've gotten a few requests for this, and have always planned to make Pyro my only public formula release, so here he is.
Jonny Pyro I've been making since Here Comes the Pain, when originally, he was "The Archangel" Jon Preston. The Archangel name was derived from Xbox's Raw 2: Ruthless Aggression, where you could merge together call names from the announcers. Archangel was what I went with, and his hair was white, and he was buff. Once Johnny Nitro first debuted as Bischoff's apprentice, I tried that name out, and it stuck, and even has appeared in plenty of my other video games like SOCOM and such (Until the very recent "Captain Syphilis" appeared in Battlefield. Way better to get pwned by an STD IMO... although Colombain will be the first to tell you I'm a noobie suck-ass at Team Fortress
).Jonny Pyro 1 in HCTP looked a little goth with the emo hair, Raven face paint and the black tights that had the fire design on them. Smackdown vs Raw is where he started to come down to his normal looks, including where I first gave him the dragon tattoo on his left arm, and, as some may remember, a very difficult logo on his tights that were made impossible to redo thanks to the ass blurs that came into play in later games. He also started setting the seeds to be a Jericho/RVD/Benoit Hybrid, a little something he carried into the next two games. Just before he became an E-fedder in 2006, I remade the original to look a lot more like me, with 2006 being his most realistic looking year. On his ring in, the face looked dead on to mine. It was also when he started taking a more technical route, looking more like Benoit with a slight taste of Shelton and Jericho in his fighting style, which is exactly what I brought into 2007. Now, in 2008, with the fighting styles, I choose to keep him on the technical route, making him pretty much a suplex machine (He has like, 9 of them in his standing grapples and back grapples, yet fits GCW's Moveset Regulations to a tee...). Little homage to Tazz and Benoit still, including the Triple German's and "Finisher #3" from his LXW days, The Northern Lights Suplex, as well as his shortlived T-Bone Suplex 1 finisher.
E-fed wise, Pyro appeared in VWE in April, getting promoted right away, in a fued with Thr33x's Jon Payne, whom Pyro launched an attack with on in WTF, with the help of a few other members. For some reason I can naturally do one of those heel types way better. He lost his VWE Debut, the last man standing match, against Payne, making them 1 and 1 in their series of matches that I believe is still at Payne 2, Pyro 1, Pyro winning a parking lot brawl in WTF. They had one match in LXW, which Pyro had also lost. In LXW, while I was moving to another apartment, amusingly enough, Jonny became the first LXW champion and had a luck streak when it came to defending his title, retaining it for the entire year and was the only one to attempt to Unify both major titles. He became too "Other fed" for VWE, in my own opinion which lead for me to drop him there. In WCW, he was having the same success, winning the world title in the start of a new direction for the company, a direction which I had opted out of, thinking I'd be doing a lot more for LXW now that I had capture equipment and everything. Not to mention I really didn't want to RP him away from Lilith, with whom the handler and myself had become really good friends. Some backstage stuff happened, I left with a few members, started my own fed and put Pyro in APW, immediately into a storyline with Blaze and Lindsay. Half some problems with members over there, and half paying more attention to another fed than my own because my main CAW was over there, I brought him into FCW, where he had a good (unrigged) run, I think ending up just a little over .500 win percentage, including winning the FCW World Championship in a little bit of a thrown together tournament when the current Champion bought his new house and would be gone for months. He was engaged to be married to Lilith, as well, as taking over the company with her in a bloody coup that we at least had some positive feedback on when it happened. In July, I killed him off, thinking I would be working a lot more on my real life relationship with my now-ex-girlfriend and would need to step back from a lot, which eventually included shutting the fed down.
This year's Pyro? Aggressive wise, I don't know where he stands, I'm not testing my CAWs much anymore, I can handle losses, I prefer them in some cases, and I put them all pretty much following the same moveset guidelines that I pitched for GCW. Which is why I'm thinking about including him in GCW tournament 3 (coming soon) just to get him a few matches and then let him collect dust on my card while I mess with GCW business and having a life outside of the fed as well (Reason why people barely see me on the weekends.)
